Baptism is an outward expression of an internal change for those who believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Baptism does not "save a person" but is a symbol of salvation and a new relationship with God by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Baptism celebrates what Jesus has done for us and positions us for experiencing the power of a new life in relationship with Jesus Christ. When we are baptized through immersion into water we are symbolizing the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life he desires us to live.
Jesus modeled the importance of baptism by immersion by being baptized himself (Matthew 3:13-17). We continue to practice baptism because Jesus commissioned his disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit and to make more disciples throughout the world (Matthew 28:19-20).
We as a church want to partner with you in the journey of faith through baptism and pray that God continues to shine his love in you and through you. We host baptism 4 times year each quarter and also offer a class to share everything you need to know about baptism. Connect with us here to become baptized or receive more information on baptism.
